Our principal goal is to prevent all injury or ill health amongst our employees, those who work with us, and members of the public.

Matassa prides itself by going above and beyond the industry requirements for health & safety regulations. Protecting our workers and other persons against harm is our number one priority. We do this by eliminating risks before they become hazards and taking precautions at every step.
At Matassa it us our duty to promote the provision of advice, information, education and training in relation to work health and safety. We ensure each work is in compliance with the (Health & Safety at Work Act 2015), as well as integrating essential safety frameworks from PreQual & SiteSafe guidelines.

At Matassa we are proud to say we are a Prequal Certified Company. What this means is that we are able to demonstrate to potential Clients that we understand our legal obligations under health and safety law and have systems in place to ensure we can work safely -protecting our own staff, our own sub-contractors and the Client’s staff.

SiteSafe has been influential in creating a positive change in the health & safety culture of New Zealand’s construction industry. Matassa is proactive in ensuring that we are up to date on education, resources, and best practice systems to improve our on-site health & safety.
